The Recommendation for the Protection of Movable Cultural Property (Paris Convention, 1978) understands for movable property all those removable assets which are the expression or evidence of the human creation or the evolution of nature and have an archaeological, historical, artistic, scientific and technical value. There is a wide number or categories (painting, handicraft, books, furniture, tapestries, musical instruments, jewellery, etc.).
The Act on Andalusian Historical Heritage also considers movable properties the relevant elements of movable properties that are separated from them and those that can be studied using archaeological methods, whether extracted or not, and either on the surface or in subsoil, inside water, on the territorial sea or in the continental shelf. It also includes the cultural properties of ethnological value, related to the way of life, culture, activities and production ways of the Andalusia.
The IAPH uses an integrating documentation methodology that allows the analysis of movable asset (artistic, archaeological or ethnological assets) on the basis of the contributions of the different heritage fields. This allows a wider view of this heritage concept.
